COLLECTORS PENTHOUSE, NEW YORK CITY

The intention with this penthouse was to create an interior that integrates art into everyday life — where museum-quality works coexist naturally with daily rituals, furniture and collected objects. The result is not a showroom, but an inhabited gallery. A space that feels layered, intuitive and quietly radical.

A restrained material palette of white Carrara terrazzo and stainless steel forms a calm backdrop — rooted in minimalism, yet infused with an avant-garde sensibility. Within this clarity, art by Rashid Johnson, Lucio Fontana and Wade Guyton enters into dialogue with vintage furniture, custom pieces and collectibles gathered over time.

The styling intentionally feels collected rather than composed. Iconic vintage works by Pierre Jeanneret introduce warmth and history, while smaller objects add depth and personality. The interior reflects a collector’s eye — evolving, personal, and culturally grounded.

Functional objects with sculptural quality play a central role. Vintage cast-iron vessels sourced from Ehrl Antiques were repurposed as plant pots, bringing weight, patina and tactility into the space. A custom-made dining table with an organic, hand-shaped form and a deep epoxy high-gloss finish anchors the room — blurring the boundary between sculpture and utility.
